Agave Pedagogy: The Manifesto
Agave Pedagogy: The Manifesto

Tagline: Rooted. Resilient. Revolutionary.
Teaching isn’t performance. It’s rootwork. It’s memory. It’s protest. This is my pedagogy — born from land, lineage, and the longing to do better for our students.
📖 Introduction
I come from the agave.
Before there were classrooms, there was land.
Before there were grades, there was resistance.
My ancestors — the Caxcanes, Tecuexes, and Guachichiles — cultivated agave, not maize.
We were not the harvesters of empire.
We were the protectors of our mountains, the artists of survival, the ones who made fire out of stone and sweetness out of thorns.
Agave is not soft.
It is tough, slow-growing, and enduring.
It blooms once, boldly — and then leaves behind an entire ecosystem of kin.
This is how I teach.
🌵 Agave Pedagogy is not a trend. It’s ancestral memory turned into practice.
